Core Tip |
The main goal of radical surgery for colorectal carcinoma (CRC) is to completely remove the primary tumor and regional lymph nodes. Lymph nodes are essential in predicting patient prognosis and for determining the need for adjuvant chemotherapy after surgical resection. In this study, the expression of GLI1 and PTTG1 in patients with CRC undergoing radical surgery and their correlation with lymph node metastasis (LNM) were examined. Aberrant overexpression of GLI1 and PTTG1 was confirmed in patients undergoing radical surgery for CRC. In addition, both GLI1 and PTTG1 were significantly related to LNM and could be used as predictors of LNM, indicating their clinical significance in the evaluation of CRC cases and the development of treatment plans. |
