Core Tip |
To the best of our knowledge, there is no study evaluating the antimicrobial ac-tion of these herbal plants (C. schoenanthus and P. graveolens) essential oils against different Candida spp. Therefore, the aim of this study was to investigate the antimi-crobial action of C. schoenanthus and P. graveolens essential oils over S. mutans, S. aureus, C. albicans, C. dubliniensis and C. krusei monotopic biofilms enabling the future development of a new antimicrobial and antifungal capable of combating these multi-resistant microorganisms present in the hospital environment, acting both prophylactically and in combating already colonized microorganisms. |
