Core Tip |
The neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) are novel inflammatory indicators that can effectively predict disease severity and prognosis. In this study, starting from the two common causes of acute pancreatitis (AP), the difference between the NLR and PLR in hypertriglyceridemia-induced acute pancreatitis (HTGP) and acute biliary pancreatitis (ABP) was explored retrospectively, and the predictive value of the NLR and PLR for persistent organ failure in HTGP and ABP were determined. To help clinicians maintain a high degree of vigilance in the early stages of AP, timely treatment interventions are needed to reduce the mortality of AP. |
