Core Tip |
This study evaluated the effectiveness of an endoscopically created anastomosis between the stomach and main pancreatic duct for the treatment of chronic pain in the course of inflammatory diseases of the pancreas. If basic endoscopic treatment in the form of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography is ineffective or impossible to perform, the creation of an anastomosis between the digestive tract and the pancreatic duct enables the effective treatment of chronic pain without the need for surgical intervention. |
