Core Tip |
In this study, we demonstrate for the first time that bilateral recurrent chalazion refractory to conventional treatment may indicate ocular rosacea. Given that ocular rosacea solely presents with ocular symptoms without facial manifestations, it is not only prone to misdiagnosis by dermatologists but also frequently mistaken as mere blepharitis by ophthalmologists. Therefore, our identification of the potential association between bilateral recurrent chalazion lacking facial symptoms and ocular rosacea holds significant implications in alerting both dermatologists and ophthalmologists. |
