From a retrospective review of 37 self-reported tobacco users undergoing total joint arthroplasty, we found a tobacco cessation rate of 43.2% at nearly 3 years postoperatively. These patients had improved Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System-10 mental health scores and hip dysfunction and osteoarthritis outcome score for joint replacement scores. |
