Core Tip |
Although double superior mesenteric veins (SMVs) are rare, they might be a congenital abnormality that do not show any clinical symptoms. Knowledge of the possibility of such variations could be beneficial during a pancreaticoduodenectomy, treatment of thrombosis and aneurysms of SMV, as well as in radiological interpretations and treatments. |
