Core Tip |
The creation of disulfide bonds is influenced by the insertion of amino acids at positions 120-124. And then the formation of loops is inflkuenced as well. We have proved that an overlap exists between the S protein and the Pol protein. In addition, it is revognized that this new insertion point is situateded in the polymerase/reverse transcriptase area, which indicates that this insertion may have some function in hepatitis B virus (HBV) pathogenicity. The finding suggests that from the perspective of the development in detection technology, perhaps HBV DNA load was underestimated in those years. Therefore, the significance of this paper is to highlight the abnormal warning when hepatitis B surface antigen negative and hepatitis B envelope antigen positive at the same time. |
