Core Tip |
Injections of autologous conditioned serum (ACS) are an emerging conservative management strategy for reducing inflammation and pain in various osteoarthritic conditions. This therapy extracts and amplifies the novel anti-inflammatory molecule, interleukin-1 receptor antagonist, in a patient's serum for autologous treatment of inflammation. This study systematically reviews the literature for articles investigating the effectiveness of ACS in improving pain, disability, and quality of life in patients with spinal pathology. |
