Core Tip |
Infectious complications after intestinal resection for Crohn’s disease (CD) can lead to a variety of adverse outcomes such as prolonged hospitalization, increased readmission rates, poor prognosis, and increased health-care burden in these patients. Therefore, identifying the risk factors for infectious complications and their early prevention are essential. This study aimed to investigate the risk factors, such as medications, preoperative nutritional status, and others, causing infectious complications after intestinal resection for CD, and to propose corresponding preventive measures. The findings provided guidance for reducing the occurrence of infectious complications. |
