Randomized controlled trial studies have confirmed that both acupuncture and carbamazepine have significant therapeutic effects on primary trigeminal neuralgia. Our meta-analysis results showed that acupuncture treatment for trigeminal neuralgia is superior to analgesics and safer than carbamazepine. |
