Core Tip |
Extralobar pulmonary sequestration (ELS) with torsion is relatively rare, and typically occurs in the left hemithorax. It generally presents in children; however, there is a high probability of misdiagnosis or missed diagnosis because of its atypical symptoms. As such, clinicians need to be more aware of the possibility of torsion of an ELS. |
