Core Tip |
Early detection of early decline in kidney function in elderly patients, which can be achieved with cystatin C-based equations, can allow treatment adjustments tailored to the patient’s renal condition. In cases where cystatin C cannot be determined, the modification of diet in the renal disease equation, which exhibits good agreement with the cystatin C-based equations, can be considered. Based on our multivariate analysis, regulating blood glucose and cholesterol levels and implementing regular exercise might significantly impact the estimated glomerular filtration rate in elderly patients with diabetes. |
