Core Tip |
The prevalence of diabetes is leading to an increase in the number of End-stage kidney disease (ESKD) patients with diabetes. Dialysis is the most commonly accepted treatment for ESKD patients. However, the optimal dialysis method for diabetic ESKD patients remains controversial. Diabetic ESKD patients often present with complex conditions and numerous complications. This article reviews recent literature on renal replacement therapy to determine the most suitable dialysis method for diabetic ESKD patients. This review is the first to evaluate the benefits of different dialysis types for diabetic ESKD patients across nine aspects. |
