Core Tip |
Mesenchymal stem cell transplantation has a therapeutic role in intestinal radiation injury, but the exact mechanism is unknown. In the present study, we explored the role of autologous bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (ABMSCs) and their possible mechanisms in a Beagle model of radioactive intestinal injury. Our experimental results suggest that ABMSCs transplantation has a protective effect against acute radiation enteritis in beagles and that interleukin-10 and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 may play an important role in the treatment of ABMSCs. |
