This study underscores the significant role of hematological-derived ratios in predicting major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) among NSTEMI patients. Elevated neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) were associated with higher mortality rates post-MACE, with NLR at follow-up showing the highest predictive accuracy (area under the curve of 0.811). These findings suggest that monitoring NLR, PLR, and C-reactive protein-to-lymphocyte ratio (CRP/Ly) can offer valuable insights into the inflammatory mechanisms at play in cardiovascular risk, aiding in early intervention and improving patient outcomes. |
