Core Tip	This study constructs and validates a predictive model for Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) in patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). Utilizing a retrospective design, we identified eight independent risk factors, including educational level, household income, smoking history, smoking index, number of exacerbations, cardiovascular comorbidities, disease knowledge, and personality traits. The model demonstrates high accuracy with AUC values of 0.978 and 0.960 in the modeling and validation groups, respectively. This predictive tool can facilitate early identification of high-risk patients, enabling timely interventions to improve their quality of life.
