Core Tip |
The link and complicated mechanisms between Crohn’s disease (CD), nucleotide-binding oligomerization domain-2, smoking, and vitamin D is complex and poorly understood. In addition to genetic and environmental factors, the interaction between the two is also thought to play a role in the development of CD. Furthermore, the consequences of CD differ from person to person, emphasizing the importance of individual therapy. Individualized treatment, including surgery and medications, is important. |
