Core Tip The process of ageing is a natural phenomenon, and the quality of life is of paramount importance during this period. The objective of this study was to examine the relationship between renal filtration rate and health outcomes, as well as the incidence of hospitalization, in elderly patients. The analysis was conducted on patients aged 75 years and older who were admitted to the internal medicine clinic of a tertiary care hospital in Eskisehir. At the time of admission, renal filtration rates were calculated using the Modification of Diet in Renal Disease formula and categorized into six categories. Associations with health problems during the course of hospitalization were analyzed.
