Acute cholecystitis due to cystic artery embolism after transarterial chemoembolization is an uncommon and mostly self-limiting complication. We present a rare case of acute cholecystitis complicated by gallbladder necrosis and biliary peritonitis, which required emergency laparotomy and cholecystostomy creation. |
