Core Tip |
Previous studies have reported an association between pesticide exposure and the incidence of type 2 diabetes (T2D), but the underlying mechanisms have not been fully elucidated. In this article, we speculated that DNA methylation may be associated with pesticide exposure and T2D. We systematically reviewed the current literature to identify genes that are not only associated with pesticide exposure but also with T2D. Six genes (Alu, CABLES1, CDH1, PDX1, PTEN, PTPRN2) were identified. |
