Core Tip |
Lower extremity arteriosclerosis obliterans (LEASO), a condition primarily influenced by smoking and diabetes, significantly increases the risks of limb ischemia and amputation. Current treatments, such as pharmacological and surgical interventions, provide limited relief. Integrative approaches that combine traditional Chinese medicine with Western medical practices offer holistic and personalized treatment strategy that focuses on addressing the root cause as well as managing symptoms. To establish the efficacy and safety of this combined approach, extensive randomized controlled trials are essential. Such evidence-based research is crucial for developing protocols that can improve patient outcomes in managing LEASO. |
