Core Tip |
Associations have been observed between gut microbiota and diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) alleviates the clinical symptoms of DPN through complex interactions with gut microbiota. This editorial briefly summarized the present condition of the treatment of DPN and discusses the potential applications of gut microbiota in the prevention and treatment of DPN, such as early diagnosis, studying of the mechanism of TCM, and evaluating the clinical efficacy of TCM. |
