Our meta-analysis highlights the comparison between serum procalcitonin (PCT) and presepsin in the detection of bacterial infection (BI) among patients with cirrhosis. While both biomarkers demonstrated comparable sensitivity and specificity, PCT exhibited greater diagnostic ability for BI. |
