Core Tip |
Routinely more than 50% of patients with acute kidney injury in intensive care unit require kidney replacement therapy (KRT). But there are no clearcut guiding parameters on timing of initiation or weaning from KRT. Biomarkers have a promising role in initiation of KRT and can be employed in weaning decision from KRT. In this narrative review we summarise the individual roles of biomarkers and the supportive literature. |
