Core Tip Endoscopic ultrasound quantitative elasto?graphy strain histograms (SHs) are a recently developed method for non-invasive differentiation of pancreatic masses. In a prospective single center study, 105 patients with pancreatic masses and 44 controls were evaluated. For SH measurements, Hitachi software was used and applied for the first time in a clinical study as far as we know. We determined the accuracy of the method and a cut-off value between malignant pancreatic tumors and mass-forming pancreatitis. A new variable, the SH ratio, is calculated in an attempt to improve the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of the method.
