Core Tip So far, there are many reports about the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) around world that presenting different epidemiological and clinical features, here we report a case that the sustaining high level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate in a patient recovered from the COVID-2019 infection. The high level of erythrocyte sedimentation rate was not from the tumor, inflammation, tuberculosis, rheumatic diseases, and autoimmune diseases. Therefore, we suspected the COVID-2019 possibly damages the blood or immune system. The abnormal erythrocyte sedimentation rate would be a precursor causing the joint damage after COVID-2019 infection, such as osteoarthritis in future. Our report provides the supplement to know the features of COVID-2019 and shows some clues helping us to understand the prognosis of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection.
