Core Tip The posterior laparoscopy does not interfere with the internal organs and has little effect on the function of the gastrointestinal tract, thus widely being used. However, complex adrenal tumors are characterized by large volume, compression of adjacent tissues, and invasion of surrounding tissues. Therefore, they are rarely used in retroperitoneal laparoscopic surgery. Recently with the development of laparoscopic techniques and advances in surgical techniques, reports about retroperitoneal laparoscopic adrenalectomy have gradually increased. This article reviews the clinical application of laparoscopy in complex adrenal tumors.
