Core Tip |
Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a disorder of the idiopathic and chronic inflammation of the colonic mucosa. Several genetics factors influence the development of the disease, especially interleukin and interleukin receptor gene polymorphisms and other inflammation-related genes. In this review we collected the current literature on PubMed Database about those genetic markers that are associated with UC, we focused on the following terminology: UC, inflammation, genes, polymorphisms, susceptibility. |
