Core Tip |
Screening colonoscopy performed at different time frequencies did not show a statistically significant effect on overall mortality, tumor-related mortality, and recurrence rates in colorectal cancer patients with a family history of rectal cancer. However, laparoscopic surgery demonstrated better short-term outcomes compared to open surgery, while maintaining comparable long-term survival results. This suggests that laparoscopic surgery may be a favorable option for elderly patients with colorectal cancer. |
