Key Words Artificial intelligence; Endoscopy; Common gastrointestinal benign diseases
Core Tip In endoscopy, the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in early gastrointestinal (GI) cancer has been widely concerned. In the review, we mainly provided a general conclusion of AI applicating to endoscopy on the aspect of common GI benign diseases such as Barrett’s esophagus, atrophic gastritis, and colonic polyp. Present literatures have indicated the promising prospect, as most of studies showed comparatively high accuracies and efficiencies. We hope to deliver this concise overview of the status of AI in quo from the aspect of unfocused but common GI benign diseases to readers. And much related work is in need to boost the real application of AI on common GI benign diseases in the future.
