Core Tip |
Various polymorphisms in host genes that encode cytokines and Helicobacter pylori virulence factors have been associated with different tendencies of gastric diseases development. Several reviews have been written on the role of host and bacterial isolated factors in gastric carcinogenesis. However, only a small amount of reviews unites the important characteristics of both bacterium and host in carcinogenesis. General overviews about polymorphisms in genes that encode cytokines are also scarce. We aimed to join the main polymorphisms in genes that encode cytokines and bacterial virulent factors related to gastric carcinogenesis and to provide a broad overview about these themes. |
