Hydatidosis of the colon or hydatid cysts causing any clinical problem in colon (fistula, hemorrage or obstruction) is a extremely rare condition. We have performed a systematic review of the literature focusing in epidemiological, diagnostic and therapeutic tips about this topic. We have tried to find explanations about the low incidence of primary hydatidosis of the colon or affecting the colon. No clear explanation about low incidence has been found. |
