| Core Tip |
This study demonstrated that stanniocalcin 2 (STC2) was overexpressed in colon adenocarcinoma (COAD), besides the high expression of STC2 predicted poor prognosis. The promoter of STC2 in COAD was hyper-methylation, and the transcription factor Sp1 was essential to the expression of STC2. These findings provide new insights into the mechanism of oncogenic function of STC2 in COAD. |
