Key Words Adenoma polyposis coli; Gastric cancer; Prognosis; mRNA; miRNA; Methylation
Core Tip We found that high expression of adenoma polyposis coli (APC) was associated with poor prognosis in period-T4 gastric cancer (GC) patients. There was different expression of genes, miRNA and DNA methylation between high expression of APC (APChigh) and low expression of APC (APClow) groups. The APChigh associated with different expression of genes, miRNA and DNA methylation could contributed to the poor prognosis in period-T4 GC patients, and were involved with the pathogenesis of GC. We emphasized the APC, which could be used as novel biomarker to be applied to clinical diagnosis, therapy, and assessment of prognosis in period-T4 GC patients, as well as further research on the pathogenesis of GC.
