Core Tip |
Among complications following polyacrylamide hydrogel (PAAG) injection, the distant migration is relatively rare. Symptoms at presentation depend on course, and sometimes may be misdiagnosed. We present herein, a rare case of a patient who repeatedly presented lumps and infection, without bacterial contamination and obvious histopathology explanation. This case highlights that PAAG gel still has the possibility of migration after long term, timely debridement surgery may be necessary even without symptoms. It took four months to make the accurate diagnosis since the patient hid her history, which reminds us not to limit our diagnosis idea to where the symptom is. |
