Core Tip Shoulder pain is one of the common complications in stroke patients. Neuromuscular joint facilitation (NJF) is a therapeutic exercise which is used to improve the movement of the joint. Acupuncture is a key component of traditional treatment to relieve pain. The present research studied whether the efficacy of acupuncture combined with NJF was superior to acupuncture alone for hemiplegic shoulder pain (HSP). The results showed that the combined therapy of NJF and acupuncture is better than acupuncture alone in the treatment of HSP.
