Core Tip |
The differentiation of mucinous and non-mucinous cysts is key in the effective management of pancreatic cysts. Thorough understanding of the absolute indications for surgery, the role of endoscopic ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration, cyst fluid analysis, imaging, and the guidelines for surveillance are important in the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic cysts. Patient-centered approach with a multidisciplinary team involving the surgeon, radiologist, pathologist, oncologist, and advanced endoscopist improves the management of pancreatic cysts. |
