Core Tip We describe a rare case about lung adenocarcinoma with gradual enlargement of a thin-walled cavity surrounding by pure ground glass opacity for more than 10 years. The natural course of a patient's thin-walled lung adenocarcinoma is observed and the check-valve mechanism should explain the cause of thin-walled lung cancer. Avoiding such diseases being misdiagnosed requires close follow-up and accurate imaging judgment.
