Swallowed topical corticosteroids are a very effective and safe treatment option in eosinophilic esophagitis. Particularly, esophagus-targeted formulations can induce clinicopathological remission in the vast majority of patients. However, uncertainness regarding optimal dosage and duration of long-term treatment still exists. |
