Core Tip |
Imaging evaluation is an effective mode that is indispensable, easy to use and low-cost, especially for the evaluation of intervertebral disc space height, the most commonly used quantitative indicator of intervertebral disc degeneration in animal models. However, for rats with small vertebral bodies and narrow intervertebral disc spaces, conventional X-ray plains have poor definition and low contrast, micro-calcifications are unclear, and the imaging effect on the boundary of the narrow intervertebral disc space is poor. This is the first study to apply molybdenum target photography to the imaging evaluation of caudal intervertebral disc degeneration in the rat models. |
