Core Tip |
Our study describes the present treatment condition of acute traumatic spinal cord injury. This study found that surgery within 72 h results in a better prognosis. We found that among patients with American Spinal Injury Associations (ASIA) grades of A and B, significant better prognosis was observed in the Steroid group. The present study demonstrates that patients with severe spinal cord injury (ASIA grades of A and B) may benefit from early surgery and steroid use. The findings of our study have implications for future clinical practice. |
