Choledocholithiasis patients, who undergo further cholecystectomy after endoscopic sphincterotomy/endoscopic papillary balloon dilatation, have decreased subsequent cholangiocarcinoma risk. The relationship between the incidence of recurrent biliary events and that of subsequent cholangiocarcinoma was statistically meaningful. |
