Core Tip |
The lower body positive pressure (LBPP) treadmill has potential applications for improving the gait of patients after a stroke, although the related mechanism remains unclear. To the best of our knowledge, our case report is the first study for the dynamic observation on hemiplegic gait rehabilitation using plantar pressure analysis, which is presented with every detail of the changes in gait. Meanwhile, we also presented the macroscopic longitudinal changes using the clinical assessments and three-digital gait analysis before and after LBPP intervention as well as a follow up. The critical clues were found for LBPP training on the gait and balance improvement by rebuilding foot pressure distribution and remodeling symmetry of biomechanics of the lower limb. |
