Gastroesophageal varices are a rare complication of essential thrombocythemia (ET). This study have reported a case of a 46-year-old women that presented with an ET-driven esophageal and gastric varix. ET is a chronic myeloproliferative neoplasm, which should be given considerable attention while performing differential diagnoses in patients with gastroesophageal varices, in order to make optimal decision and management. |
