Core Tip We evaluated the clinical application and possible problems of the narrow-band imaging international colorectal endoscopic (NICE) classification and Japanese Narrow-band Imaging Expert Team (JNET) classification in our unit which is a tertiary hospital in China. We found that the treatment strategy of the NICE type 1 and 3 and JNET type 1, 2A and 3 lesions can be determined based on the results of endoscopic examination. Compared with other types of JNET classification, the diagnostic ability of type 2B is the weakest. And the JNET type 2B lesions still needs further examinations, such as magnifying chromoendoscopy or endoscopic ultrasonography.
