Core Tip |
Previous studies on laparoscopic common bile duct exploration (LCBDE) in choledocholithiasis with small diameter have been limited. Although some studies have suggested that small common bile duct stone (CBD) may be a significant risk factor for postoperative bile leak after LCBDE, the sample size of small CBD choledocholithiasis in these studies was relatively small. Our study was to emphasize the safety and feasibility of LCBDE for choledocholithiasis with small CBD through large-sample analysis. The results showed that LCBDE for choledocholithiasis with small-diameter without acute cholangitis did not increase the postoperative biliary leak rate and the recurrence rate of common bile duct stones. |
