Coronavirus pandemic presents a significant challenge to the medical profession. Bacterial and fungal co-infections are common complications of viral infections with increasing morbidity and mortality. We observed a significant increase in the number of bacterial and fungal co-infection over the study period. In addition, gram-negative infections carry a higher risk of morbidity and mortality. |
