β cell failure biomarkers is until now an elusive task, the searching of a molecule that work as a biomarker and therapeutic target is a challenge. The data obtained in this study demonstrated that real human islet amyloid polypeptide amyloid oligomers could be used as a sensitive and specific marker for the diabetes as a protein conformational disease. |
