Indeterminate liver lesions; Magnetic resonance imaging; Gadoxetic acid; Hepatobiliary phase; Hepatocellular carcinoma |
Core Tip |
Being familiar with the typical magnetic resonance imaging aspects of focal liver lesions as well as knowing the uncommon and overlapping imaging features can help reach an accurate diagnosis without the need for further interventions. Gadoxetic acid has been shown to significantly increase diagnostic accuracy in the detection and characterization of liver abnormalities, although in certain challenging cases it may be prudent to seek histological confirmation. |
